Before I got into Warhammer (first time around, 1990) I dipped my toe with a couple of these non-GW minis. Still have them kicking around but don't know much about them. Were they part of a particular range or game?

They are from Metal Magic, a German miniature company. I believe they are Phagon battle-clones.

I think EM4 have the old MM lines.

Also note they are 25mm not 28mm figs.

The square bases two of them are on are 20mm square.

Thanks for all the input, folks! (As a new member, even though I could make the initial post, I had to wait 2 days to reply).

It's great that these are still being made – I've ordered a few from EM4 to see how my new painting skills compare.

They are great figures. I use them for Zhodani in battle dress (Traveller's term for powered armor).
