You get very vibrant colors while using black primer. Is there a secret to that?

What's that? Maybe 2 days worth of painting?
Well done!

Thanks gents

" You get very vibrant colors while using black primer. Is there a secret to that?"

Not sure, Practice? I use a darker base colour than a highlight on all colours, maybe the transition adds to the vibrancy, if you go with 1 straight colour, even if you use the vibrant colour, it will be muted by the black I think.

Quite breathtaking! Thinking of such an effort is axhausting.

As others have already commented, very impressive indeed.

Could I ask the make of the figures; Old Glory?

Gunner Dunbar22 Aug 2023 4:02 a.m. PST

AB, the Westphalians are tin soldier.

Duc de Brouilly23 Aug 2023 2:14 a.m. PST

Thanks Gunner. It's also a compliment to your work that I couldn't tell what scale they were: they could easily be 28mm.

Very impressive. I counted 20 flagpole-bearers, that is alot of battalions.
