Can British figures with c 1745 uniforms be used for 1757 Seven Years War/ French and Indian?

Technically no, they are slightly different.

However to 97% of gamers, yes, why not…

Agree with Royston Papworth.

I use WAS, FIW and 7YW figures fairly interchangeably in 10mm.

From what I understand, the differences between '45 Brits and SYW Brits are even less than WAS and SYW French.

It worked for Stanley Kubrick

Another with Royston P.

If someone dares to pull you upon it, look about the room. I guarantee that everyone else will be rolling their eyes.

That said. For the French Indian Wars the British did use a cut down coat for their light infantry (if memory serves) to stop it snagging in the undergrowth (apparently). So you might need a few of those as extra units if you go for that war. But, the line units will be fine.

I think the unasked question is, are you starting to build a force for SYW British? if yes, then I always suggest using correct figures.

Otherwise, I'm pretty much with the rest of the crew here. Use what you have, put on a game, and entertain yourself and others.
