I have quite a collection of O scale buildings for zombie gaming and nothing completes the build like adding a sidewalk around three side of the building.

Here is what I have learned:

1) use L shaped plastic from polystyrene attached to the bottom of the building walls where the sidewalk will be attached. This makes the sidewalk more stable.

2) use 1 inch wide brass wood for the sidewalks. Simply make shallow cuts at each inch (using a miter box) for the cracks between slabs. A file can be used to enlarge the cracks.

3) paint and seal the sidewalks (I use Americana sand gray).

4) glue the sidewalks to the building.

5) make a few more sidewalks in various lengths for the balance of the setup.

It is amazing the difference this simple hack makes.
