Last weekend at the monthly DWG club meeting I got to play-test my planned scenario for the upcoming Clotted Lard meeting next month with a Kiss Me, Hardy Scenario recreating a 'What If' situation around the attempted Franco-Irish invasion of Ireland in 1796.

The game helped test some options to include and discard but revealed the knife-fight game intended as the French squadron ended up fighting the enemy and the weather.

An excellent "what if?" and a lovely looking game. I ran something similar at the Napoleonic Fair in London many years ago when the NWS was active running big games like that

Hi David,
I have a copy of your scenario, that helped greatly in getting the imaginative processes going on this game and I remember well the Napoleonic Fair, especially getting to meet a hero of mine, the late great Dr David Chandler who autographed my programme for me.

Cheers and see you at Yeovilton next month

Thank you for sharing.
I've always wanted to What If this.

Great, thank you

I'll be running the game next month for our Clotted Lard event and the Naval Wargames Society Meeting and I will put a Scenario PDF together with all the ship record sheets to go with the AAR, and I'll be posting here on TMP with appropriate links for those interested in playing it themselves.
