"Two related projects today, both space stations. First up was a Christmas gift from Bruce. An enormous resin space station on an asteroid and two smaller gun pods. I have put some 1/7000ish Trek Ships in for scale (ship bases are one-inch across if that helps). Bruce did the painting…"

That's pretty neat stuff. Some times the really small scales figures can better evoke the big space they're in.

Glad you like them…

Are those ships from the TNG Coalition Microfleet sets from javelin98 on Shapeways??

If yes, they are way smaller than 1/7000 !!!
The Sovereign class is roughly 1/32,619.
The Galaxy class is roughly 1/42,800.

And I just had a thought, what if the "Galaxy" is actually an "Ambassador"?
I don't have that already figured out, I'm going to have to look up how big an Ambassador class is supposed to be.

Yeah, those are mine! And they aren't scaled consistently; the point was to get them to fit on the original paper hex maps. I've just uploaded them to cults3d in case anyone wants the STLs.

Hey javelin98, if I wasn't broke I would be contacting you about maybe rescaling at least the TNG era Fed microfleets to be more consistent in scale with each other.

Maybe leave the Defiant at 1/15,000 and make everything else 1/30,000 ?

Oh, and what class of ship is the Carrier?

Thanks!!

and Tango01, I wasn't trying to be a butthead, just letting you know you were off on the scale. That way if you purchase any ships that are 1/7,000 you won't go "Why are they so insanely BIG?!?!"

A 1/7,000 Sovereign class is supposed to be about 98mm in length, not 21mm.

Thanks for the mention… but I only copy the original tittle of the thread…
