"Poor service from Tiny Wargames mats" Topic

In the 1st week of June this year I ordered 2 wargame mats from Tiny Wargames, they were advertised as being in stock. I ordered them, paid and awaited delivery. The mats have never come so I cannot comment on their quality. They were quick to take payment but slow to provide the goods. They did communicate with me but were slow to do so, a response to an e mail 7 days later does not make me happy, furthermore what they did communicate was mostly excuses when I wanted to know when they would actually send them out. I have been given a refund by Etsy so am not out but I want to give a heads up to my fellow gamers at TMP to shop for mats elsewhere. They sell in the marketplace on TMP and I was hoping for better treatment. There have been a few complaints about them on TMP but the pictures of their products and comments from people who have their mats swayed me to attempt a purchase. The bottom line is I do not recommend them and advise people to shy away from them until they can actually provide the product and services they advertise.

This is one of the issues I kinda sorta have with TMP. Tiny Wargames Mats keeps advertising all of these "sales" in the market place and stuff, and the few times I have posted asking about "if they've gotten their act together because I'd like to order from them, but not get ripped off", they always say "yes. We're good to go now!", and then right when I am about to pull the trigger and make an order, something like what has happened to Bashy pops up and the cycle starts all over again.
Sigh…

Still waiting for my custom mat order or a refund from March of 2022.

Yes, these guys(this guy) is hardly a trustworthy source.

I order mats from Table Wars exclusively now. Fair prices and quick service.

I do have a few from Cigar Box and the quality along with speed of delivery are good. They do not respond to questions, but are otherwise good.

I once had Tiny Wargames mats bookmarked for future purchases but reviews and feedback on TMP have caused me to scrub all those plans and reference points.

The level of communication from this company is awful. I waited over 6 months for a custom size mat. I had agreed to wait as they had printer problems, but I got no updates unless I chased. they finally sent the wrong type of mats. I refused the order and requested collection or i would dispose of them.

I never heard another thing so thats what I did.

I advise anyone not to purchase from them online, Only buy at shows from the stock they have with them. if you must buy online , use a credit card via paypal.

Cigar Box Battle is a better option!

Tiny Wargames strikes again. I do understand the temptation as products look and are very good but Richard is terrible to deal with. I will never deal with TW again even as I hope they get their act together. I now use Deep Cut Studios and have never had a problem. A friend of mine ordered a Cigar Box mat recently and no issues. Both are lovely products.

Cigar Box Battle has excellent mats and is a reputable dealer. Highly recommended.

I really hate to do this kind of trashing of someone's business but after 6 months of back-and-forth emails but still getting NOTHING but lip service I have had it! On 1/29/2024 I ordered a Samurai Mat from Richard and we discussed via email just what I wanted. I was told what to order and how to pay, he even sent a link. I paid via bank card and waited, got a message it was processing, then nothing… After a month I messaged for a tracking number, nothing, another month, nothing. A few more emails and a message from Richard asking what I ordered (should he not know when I gave him my name and order number?!?) I went back into emails got all the info and was promised reprinting and sending to me. More waiting, 1 month, 2 months, more emails and calls, no tracking, finally a women emailed that Richard was not there, but she would help me if I could give all the order information AGAIN. She said they didn't do the Mat I wanted in the size I wanted despite the fact that Richard said he could "no problem"! Finally, I emailed to just send the regular Samurai mat and I'm fine. That's the last time I have heard from them despite my telling them I just want my mat or a refund or I going to do what I hate to do, flame them everywhere I can! so FLAME ON!!! Bottom line bad business to deal with…… I have now started a charge back with my bank!!
