For my part I am running a Spanish American war action at Santiago using Broadside and Salvo.

The first few turns are complete and the Spanish are doing incredibly well.

The Spanish fleet exited the harbor and opened fire on the Brooklyn causing damage and a morale failure. The poor Brooklyn made the historic turn into the path of the Texas. Furor and Pluton then made a torpedo attack on the Brooklyn. As the Spanish fleet sailed westward they opened heavy fire on the Vixen.

At this point both the Brooklyn and Vixen have been sunk with no damage to any Spanish ship.

How are the other actions going?

Real life allows us to play this Tuesday.
It will be a Battleship Blast! 8 Japanese battleships vs. 8 Allied BB's (2 British and 6 U.S.)
We're gonna have a BLAST!

Battle of Trent's Reach at the IPMS show in Thornbury (just got home from the event). Nearly a victory for the Confederates, but Onondaga's sharp shooting put paid to that. A report will be on my blog later.

We had a Cruel Seas Game yesterday at our group monthly game day and on Thursday I will be running Java Sea in 2400 using Nimitz rules for our Retiree's Game Day. The following week I will repeat the Java Sea game for our Wednesday Night Game.

We put on a game of a sortie by the the Turkish fleet against the beachheads of Galipoli. We had the Brits strung out along the peninsula coming on in twos or threes into the fray. The RN light cruisers gave better than they got as the Turkish light forces tried to screen the "Selim" for a run to Mudros. The game was suspended for beer time so we shall see if she can get clear with her only hazard the "Inflexible' coming from that island.

A great time was had in honor of the day. I was pleased to see my state flag decorating the Trench's Reach table!
