Any suggestions for painting services of reasonable price that you would recommend for the AWI in particular. Would prefer US based ones if possible.

I recommend Terry Sirk, and his Sirk Figurine Painting of Mercersburg, PA, who is listed here on TMP.

Terry has painted quite a few 28mm AWI units for me in the past, and I have enjoyed every one of his commissions.

Reasonably priced, with a decent turn-around, and he does a nice job.

Terry Sirk painted these 54mm plastic Charbens figures (Seven Years War-era Russian grenadiers) for me a few years ago.

I assume this is purposely painted as old-school toy soldiers would look right out of the box. I have never favored this look but some people do.
