Hi,
which difference between DH and DH2?

A friend is helping me learn DH1. He has played this version since it came out, and the detail is so great that we both have to read sections a couple of times in order to "hopefully get it right"! For more info on the similarities and differences, go to the DH2 kickstarter page and it will explain how they are similar and how they differ. To be honest, DH2 is in colour but they may help or not help you. To me, being able to understand the rules as written is the most critical component to me, and having multiple examples to help me understand the rules better. Just my 2 cents worth. Good luck in your decision.

From what I recall DH2 is a bit more granular than DH1. It's like "Seek out, close with, and destroy" the modern supplement for DH1. I haven't played it in years, and I backed the KS. There are action pts for DH2 and we got into a "shot at and fall back, spend AP to move up, shoot back" and so on.

I've been testing (learning) out the rules lately with DH2. I setup a MG42 (MMG) against two US Army fire teams (5 men each) coming up a dirt road lined on both sides with a stone wall.

US has to take out the MG.

I played the my learning scenario 3 times and all 3 times the US fire teams got shot up and broke.

Don't go up against a MG42 without smoke or better cover.

Next up; grenades and mortars.
