So, understanding that our understanding about these weapons is growing all the time, what is the latest and greatest on the ranges of medieval weapons, from the humble sling to the much-loved longbow, not to mention thrown weapons?

I've looked but not finding any useful summaries [but a lot of spammage] of this info on the internet.

Keep in mind that the distance a weapon can send a projectile is not the same as the effective range against a man-sized target, or the range at which such weapons were typically used in medieval warfare.

Exactly. I'm looking at it for mass targets, units of 20-30 people bunched up or bigger.

It'd also be nice to know how accurate they are against individual targets, Robin Hood et al notwithstanding.
