I've read many of the older book accounts of the sinking of the Bismark from the 1950s and 1960s.

I was wondering if there were any modern well written books – especially something that takes into account more recent scholarship and declassified information?

I found it quite disappointing, too much hyperbole and speculation. I have a copy going for a fiver plus postage if anyone really wants it

Looking for battle accounts rather than Bismark data. And a well written read rather than a dry tale.

@DavidManley -- which book about the Bismarck do you like and is the most accurate?

Stefan Draminski's "Anaomy of the Ship" is probably the best I've seen so far
