Do all cell phones these days do a good job of photographing miniatures (i.e., tiny subjects)?

My phone is the only thing I have capable of taking photos these days. Good enough for blogging at any rate.

My phone is better than tablet and only digital camera I have

They are in many cases excellent cameras, but in all cases they qualify under the saying, "The best camera you have is the one you have with you." An expensive DSLR is no good if you don't have it along.

I only use my phone camera now it works as well as the old digital camera I used to have. I'm sure if I invested in a load of kit and really good camera I could take better photos.Hiwever generally speaking my phone camera and a cheap £15.00 GBP light box ,I brought off Amazon, normally does a good enough job for my blog.

Yes Bill. Nearly all smartphones made in the last five years have very good cameras.

I think so. Regardless, it is the only camera that most people own.

My wonderful wife, (Gawd bless her!) and I are phone techno Luddites.
In the world of I14's, we are still using I8's.
That will probably change this weekend.
My I8 phone is "eh" in photography. It's the main thing I've used for pics on my blog, but it's easily fooled by contrasting light and shadows. OTT lamps play hell on the white light saturation with it.
I'm hoping that the later cameras in the Iphones we get this weekend will be better.

The camera in my old Iphone 6S is superb!

I have the Samsung S22+, and the camera is a beast. I've been shooting photos as a hobby since 1976.

For all but the very most professional uses, yes!

My old iPhone 4 took better pictures than my actual digital camera of the time, so I stopped getting new cameras. I'm currently using an iPhone 6, which does way more than I need for anything.
