More kicking a few ideas about as to how I handle submarine warfare (by which I mean water under the sea as opposed to just submarines interacting with surface ships) and play testing with a scenario

If I were in a sub I would have it plainly posted. "Please, DO NOT feed the fishies." Loose lips sink ships, especially submersibles. evil grin

Yes, I'd also discourage people going out for an impromptu stroll as well :-)

thanks, they are the old GZG city blocks, I think they've been out of production for some years

I believe the GZG City Blocks are still produced by Daemonscape.com

Very good addition to the basic Hellfire rules, thanks Jim.

Yes Daemonscape still makes a lot of the old GZG stuff …

Saw a game once at a con. The game involved both submarines and surface ships. The models were mounted on 20 cm tall sticks divided into 5, 4 cm areas denoting depth. Surface vessels of course were mounted at the top of the sticks. They used ping pong balls on their own sticks painted with day glow colors to indicate sonar contacts. Looked like a good system.

legion 4, looks like they don't do any more. And don't even have a website.

Yes, I also tried their site and it seems it is offline or dead
