My son and I have been working on some rules for Halo in 28mm (well, actually 28mm heroic) scale. Last weekend, we ran 2 short 2 hour demos of the rules at Historicon, and the games were well received. We had some pretty psyched up players who were real Halo fans, and got some good feedback on potential changes to the rules. We plan to run a larger game, probably at Fall-In, if we get it ready in time.

Pics:

The Covenant bunched up a little too much, and were taken out by a frag grenade…

A hapless UNSC trooper is mugged by an Shangelli Minor and Jackal Marksman… it didn't go well for him.

Great idea. I've only seen the tv show and never played the video game, but it looks like it could be made into a fun miniatures game.

There is an 1/100 scale (about 15mm) Ground Command game, but it much more complicated, and hard to find since the company that licensed it from Microsoft went out of business.

BUT, there is a thriving community on Facebook and Discord of people who 3d print the figures, pass around the rules and keep on playing.

My concept was heroic 28mm scale Halo, with rules easy enough to teach to convention players, with battles that are decent-sized but not massive (though my son does have a penchant for massive battles).

The TV show is awful, from what I have heard other Halo fans say; I don't have access to it in any case.
