All the folks asking for what to use for the Regional and Popular Forces in Vietnam Gaming, I hope this helps. Background is a 1/56 M47.

Left to Right are a Gringos 40 ARVN Radioman for comparison.

Figures Two and Three are Alamo Scouts by Company B.
Nice figures and very fine details.
Mostly Carbines and Thompsons with very limited webbing kit. Squared off fatigue caps.

Figures Four and Five are from Warbases Minitures Commando Range, Indonesian Paramilitary, from the Indonesian Confrontation. Garands and Carbines as weapons with actual 1960s pattern US webbing with H harness. Again with the squared off fatigue caps. More figures are avaiable with light mortars, Bazookas, BAR and leadership.

Figures Six and Seven are from Gaddis Gaming/Battle Honors US Marine raiders in Boonie Hats. Boonie or jungle hats with wide brims, limited belt webbing kit and equipped with Garands and Thompsons.

Now the regional forces were not known for their physical fitness requirements to enlist. More like the very young and old and not fit to serve so the height is not a bother.

These guys are all good to go and ready for some duck hunter camoflage. The Warbases figures can be used as CIDG troops as well.

Any questions please ask.

I have a platoon of each of the three bunches described. So, yeah I have gone a little overboard on Vietnam stuff in 28mm.

Now to figure out how to incorprate RF/PFs into a gaming scenario???
Points for figures that haven't fled off the board?
Points for figures that shot back?
