"Muskets & Springfields is designed for playing big battles in the American Civil War and is not model scale dependent and uses the player's current basing system. The game is set at the operational level. The player is the army commander with sub command groups. This will be typically a Corps. In these rules a Corp is made up of several infantry brigades, mounted cavalry, and artillery batteries. If you wish you can also include Native American Indian warbands.."

Seems an odd name. At the scale the rules represent, the difference between rifles and muskets would not be a factor. |

Just from reading the primer of these rules, my take is that the author has minimal knowledge of civil war combat and the interaction of brigades in relation to higher command structure. I may be wrong, will have to see, but it just looks like a "game" with an ACW theme. Kim |

he title is a bit misleading as the webpage does not contain a review per see. It is more of a recap of the rules summary as published. The weblink to the YouTube channel is a walk-through by the author. Again, not really a review at all. |
