Some guy watching a computer game, which part is meant to be true?

He has that "adult" star, I assume, look of not being able to believe he agreed to do this, but has to go through with it to pay some debt or other.

The space marines in Aliens are more believable. They were also based historically. The enemy are also more believable.

Aliens takes place in the very near future compared to Warhammer, so yes, it is more directly related to our experience and thus more believable.

On the other hand, who knows what might turn out to exist after 40,000 years of people with advancing technology? It's quite possible that the forces of Chaos are actually our descendants, fighting off some transdimensional quasi-human empire.

Even Traveller takes place some 3,500 years from now, as far from us as we are from ancient Egyptians.

However,

The IG are basically Aliens space marines, at least the ones that arnt Rambo. So they haven't processed very far.

For 40,000 years, its not very advanced.

Space marines still use bullets, by IG use lasers.

Its science fiction (if that), not an attempt to tell the future.

I'm sure Star wars or doctor who had costumes more similar to historical clothing.

Actually exactly the same in some cases, such as a certain flight suit that featured in both. Not to mention how much was loosely based on stuff.

Also remember this is modern GW he was referring too (from what I watched).
