I usually model and game at 1/72 scale for WW2 but I want to make a display model of my favourite vehicle of the War which is the SdKfz 251 Ausf D. I am planning to build in 1/48 scale which is about as big as my painting skills can go with a reasonable result. I have identified a possible vehicle model but I am now looking for some troops to put in it, basically a section of Panzergrenadiers, preferably Wehrmacht and suitable for Normandy. (I will take Waffen SS and other theatres at a pinch.) Can anyone recommend a good source of such figures in 1/48 scale to actually go in the half track and not just stand around it? Thanks.

Tamiya has some – this is a mixed bag (some in the vehicle, some outside – caveat all pretty much in fightin' mode)

These Rubicon models are excellent, although they are 1/56 scale. I use them with Tamiya figures and they match well together.

Rubicon? That looks interesting, especially if they match up to Tamiya quite well.
