My latest recruits have manged to escape the paint table aided and abetted by an ox cart. The ox cart is a cracking piece to add to my collection, you could call it an heavyweight addition.

I've also added a new squad to bolster the collection

Thanks Guys, they are such lovely little figures and using the coolie hats gives the more VC look and feel to them. I'm not completely convinced by the camouflage Cape on the bloop gunner I think the base colour for it was off! I may just end up repainting it. Although I think there is another wearing a Cape so I will see how that one turns out.

I am so glad to see something new on the VN site, as it had gone quiet. I am totally immersed ina Brunswick Horse Artillery battery for Waterloo Remodelled in 1/72. like everything else…it seemed like a good idea at the time.

I like the camo cape (they came from discarded parachutes and I attach a well known image from Hue of NVA;)

Thanks TIG the collection is growing steadily, plenty more to add.
Deadhead you can see where Paul Hicks got his inspiration for the guy with the bloop gun. I'm not 100% convinced I managed to get the camo correct, but I reckon I just about got away with it.

he camo cape is interesting. I think I might try adding one or two to Gringo figures using either metal foil or green stuff. Green stuff probably be the better option.

Volleyfire greenstuff would work better although in the past I have used capes from plastic figures. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. If you do try it it would be great to see the end result.
