Starfire from Starfire design group. Originally a Task Force Games minigame. Ship systems and damage are represented with a letter code like (2) SSAWIIII (4) with damage being marked off from left to right. It's good for fleet actions. Knight Hawks from TSR is a fairly simple ships with hit points and a random damage effect table. Watch out for those electrical fires. Don't play with my friend's house rules, he's an idiot. Silent Death originally from ICE but still available on line. A great little star fighter game with a fun exploding dice pool system. Bigger ships get a big complex but the core game is fast and simple. At one point Star Wars Gamer magazine published stats for various Star Wars fighters in Silent Death. |
