Word is going out today that my good friend and business associate – Bill Moreno – passed away after a gallant fight. I have no details of exactly from what cause – or when – but I must assume sometime in the last day or so. I should think more will be coming out over the next few days but he is gone now free of pain, and he has left a lot of good friends and close family behind – all to wonder the why. Toby Barrett |

OMG…that is a terrible loss! Bill was one of the first people I met when I started my first miniatures venture .."Pharoah's Arms", carrying Chariot Miniatures way back in the early 90s. NOVAG was the first US convention I went to. Bill was a great guy then, and a great friend thru the years. |

Bill will surely be missed. I will greatly miss catching up at some of the same shows we attended. I will lift my glass to his memory! |

Ouch! This is a massive loss to our hobby. His battlefield setups were true fine art and museum pieces. My 10mm ACW collection is made up of many of his Good Ground miniatures. My deepest sympathy and condolences to his family and friends. |

Bill came to some of our cons (Southern Front) as a dealer. Great guy to talk with and to hoist a glass with. Sincere condolences to Bill's family. |

Just stumbled upon this today. I met Bill at one of the HMGS cons when I purchased some of his 10mm Mexican American War range that had been recently released. As I built my armies for Palo Alto, I made many subsequent orders. Bill was always a class act to deal with and provided great customer service. I kept him updated on the progress of my project. My last order was placed right when he fell ill and was unable to fulfill orders. The order didn't matter but I was concerned for his well being. Had received news a few months later that he was doing better but faced a long recovery. I said my prayers for that recovery. Work has brought me down to the Texas border for an extended stay and I plan to visit the site of Palo Alto, the battle that inspired my project. I thought of Bill and looked to the internet to see how his recovery was progressing. I was very sad to learn of his passing. When I make it to Palo Alto in the next few days I will take a few moments to think of him and his loved ones. Thank you Bill, you will be missed. |
