You've got French men at arms carrying a St. George's cross banner……

I got the idea from here:

The French wing commander is a Robert The Bruce figure, I used for these reasons:
1) I like the figure, so I decided to call him King William, who was at least contemporary.
2) I couldn't paint convincing fleur-de-lis. I tried several times – LOL

What solo mechanics are you using for each rule set?
Do the rules already include a solo option?

TIA,
Dave

War & Conquest was fairly straight forward. They do have about a half dozen cards for secret victory conditions when playing a live opponent. I just ignored those.

Soldiers of God required a little more imagination, since it is card activated. Each player gets seven cards per turn. Three of these are predermined by the battle plan and are reused every turn. The other four are random and differ from turn to turn. They can be played in any order.
I played the Crusader side straight up as if going against a live opponent.
For the Saracen side, I took the seven cards and shuffled them and placed them face down. On their turn I just drew the top card and made the best play with it. This likely was not always the best play but I wanted to keep the suspense of one side (at least) not knowing what the other had going on.
I thought it worked pretty well.
