Hello everyone ,

I am looking for a skirmish rule for the 19th century only which would implement all the very distinct technical particularities of the different firearms of the 19th century.

Especially not a rule where the weapons are classified generically or by type but where each weapon has its advantages or disadvantages described with lots of details even if they are of the same category, did this exist?

Does it still exist?

Thank you.

Or (from the same people) The Colonial Skirmish Rules.

The old Legends of the Old West by Games Workshop differentiated a lot of weapons. So you had Rifle, repeater, shotgun, sawed off shotgun, 6 gun, heavy pistol etc.

Each had a different range, damage capacity, and re-load requirement. From this it would be easy to stat up any other gun that was not in their list.

But no, I am not aware of any rules that differentiate beyond gun type i.e. muzzle loader, breech loader and repeater (for example).

The Old West Skirmish Wargames do which is why I suggested them.

Thank you all, it's weird that there is nothing military. The wars of the 19th century in europe however offer a lot of possibilities.
