After stumbling across this neat Sharpshooters image, I decided to upgrade my Berdan Sharpshooters by giving them all telescopic sights! I clipped small pieces of excess piano wire from my Flag Dude Flags and attached with a small dab of super glue before painting. The figures are 15mm AB Eureka.

Those look great! What a neat idea.

Not sure all of them had scoped rifles. Still a neat idea. But I might have done just a few. In the early days of the units, most furnished their own target shooting rifles, and a lot of them had scopes. But I am not sure about the army-issuing scopes. Privately purchased?

These photos show some of them with scopes and some of them without scopes. They tend to show off the ones with scopes.

Seems like there was a manufacturer that designed them that way. Heritage/Der Kreigspiellers? Then again, maybe it was Confederate sharpshooters with telescopes. 15mm

Nice
