If you use FedEx for any of your shipping be aware of some scams. If you get a text message from FedEx don't open it, just delete it. These texts look legit but they are not. Somehow these crooks know you have a package on its way and they take advantage of that. Saying that your package is held up somewhere and we need some personal information. Just delete it.

I hate scammers.

@Old Contemptible.
I don't think they actually know there is a package on the way, they just send out millions of texts or emails to addresses they have harvested in the hope they will pick up a few suckers. I get 5 or 6 of these every day, recently had three in a day supposedly from a French delivery company. Report to your email provider/phone company/ law enforcement, block and bin.

I agree, I've had those messages & never had a package come from them. They usually are caught by my Spam filter.

Text message or email?

You may also get emails along the line of "there's a problem with your order". Don't click the links, go to the FedEx (or UPS, or Amazon) website and check on your order there.

Yep, I got a similar one this morning allegedly from UPS. It came in as Spam, so I just deleted it.

Please note that you can sign up for notification from USPS about what is coming in your daily mail.

Same for Fed Ex. I know when I have any Fed Ex package coming to the house. This one comes as a text message.

I find them useful.

I do too but it actually makes it easier for the scammers. Because you expect emails from FedEx so when one shows up it is easy to assume it is legit.

I get them from Amazon, PayPal, Fed Ex, FB …….

Disco Joe01 Jul 2023 3:56 p.m. PST

I keep getting one saying I have a package to be delivered and to verify my address but it isn't from FedEx but they list it as FebEx. I never heard of that company before and I know what packages I am expecting so I just delete the email.
