Any military-historical or just historical series available on the Net--ideally on YouTube--you'd recommend?
I'm current on Workshop Wednesday.
I've worked Tank Chats heavily.
I should have seen every episode of Time Team by late June or early July.
Non-fiction only, please.

Thanks,

Robert

Flashpoint History- 'War of the worlds' offers generous narratives of the history of islamic Spain and of the Byzantine Empire (multiple videos)
- if you can adjust to the honeyed American v.o. which tends to the unctuous but one does get used to it.

I watch Dark Skies, aircraft history shorts. Also watch battle reports on 7th Sons channel. They do Black Powder, Pike and Shotte and Hail Caesar!

7th Son as noted above, Storm of Steel both for game related material. I love The History Underground, and the American Battlefield Trust for history stuff. Unfortunately The History Underground had all his equipment stolen in Greece last week and he lost all his Normandy content he had just filmed. I imagine he will be back once he gets new gear. He has a substantial amount on his channel though.

Anything with Alice Roberts in it, if you can find it in your neck of the woods…

For YouTube I really enjoy the "SandRhoman History" series of videos (many are for the renaissance period). Also videos from "Kings and Generals" do a great job using animated maps to illustrate various battles and campaigns.

Cheers!

Search You Tube for the National World War One Museum and Memorial Channel. They capture and post the talks from their symposia, and there is other content as well.
