Any thoughts on the rules to shate?

I found the rules to be quite easy to pick up, as I play What a tanker.
Its very different to WaT in a few ways, particularly in the use of Bonanza tokens, which allow you to interrupt an opponents activation. you usually get about half your normal quota of action dice (dependent on your figure's quality)- in a partial activation, which is completed before the interrupted player continues his activation.
You have very little chance of killing an enemy with a single shot…unless you get a lot of Aim dice!!!, so its a bit of a grinding match. I think, quite accurately, you are most likely to wound an opponent, who then makes good his escape off table.
Its a lot of fun to play, and you really feel like you are making decisions about how to win/survive all through the game.
I unconditionally recommend it even based on one game, just using the basic rules!

Agreed, I think it's the best love child of What a Tanker, Chain of Command and Sharp Practice. John Savage took the best aspects of the 3 rules sets and made a wonderful chimera.

Banaza tokens, add a simple fun effect, the Desperado cards, an unknown random threat, the level system were higher level characters like Gunslingers and Legends have built in wild dice make them super dangerous.

The CoC dice combos 3 sixes or 4 sixes trip off events or turn ends. Adding to the chaos.

Excellent fun, extremely Hollywood, if you're looking for realism, look elsewhere. But if you want to recreate High Noon this is the set.
