Which of Ray Harryhausen's classic movies would you be most interested in gaming on the miniature tabletop? |

Sinbad's Golden Voyage and Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger. (I played Jason and the Argonauts at Historicon last year btw) |

The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms (Giant ancient dinosaur attacks Coney Island— among other things— perfect tabletop scenario: Police, Coast Guard, US Army, Band of Scientists with experimental weapons that might not work, fleeing civilians, random casualties due to radiation, etc., etc..) |

Another +1 for the Argonauts. |

Earth vs the Flying Saucers, I just built the truck for that! The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms is great too. And who can resist Valley of the Gwangi, which is a terrible movie with a great concept and excellent special effects. The obligatory whining kid who can't keep out of trouble, Gypsies, Cowboys, scientist, love triangle, too much going on, just show us some T-Rex action. Mike Bunkermeister Creek |

"Valley of the Gwangi," uber-sixties kitch, but including the original producer's pitch to the studio. Will the movie even get made? (very meta) |

Cowboys vs dinosaurs is hard to resist! I'm not sure how you make a "wargame" out of the others. RPG scenarios, sure, but tabletop games with minis? |

Well, Earth vs. tFS is gameable: 1950s US Army men (especially the bazooka guy), tanks, maybe even some jets on antennae, or helicopters, plus very limited "sonic weapon" trucks/tanks vs, Flying saucers on antennae, and alien figures with ray guns. Maybe even include some civilians who have to be protected. The sonic weapons break the alien shields, so that conventional weapons can work against them. I think that one seems very doable. Don't know what rules to use, as this isn't my usual genre. |

Parzival, use your usual WWII or Korean War rules and add the special weapons and flying saucer and alien infantry data. That way you don't have to learn much new. Mike Bunkermeister Creek |

RE Earth Vs. Flying Saucer. I believe Recreation Conflict carries figures that would work for the bugs. |

I'm another for Valley of Gwangi. Rules for cowboys vs dinosaurs would be simple enough to adapt or create from scratch. "Lost Lands" combined with "Six-gun Sound" from 2 Hour Wargames would work great. |

Valley of the Gwangi would be fun. Then there's always Flesh Gordon for a change ? |

Mysterious Island. It's the one (monster movie) I haven't gamed (several movies have multiple battle scenes, so multiple games). My ACW guys have only seen Zeds, Lost Cavemen (no time travel), and – of course – Barsoooooooooooom!.
I highly recommend cowboys vs dinos – lots of options |
