Hello! I'm visiting the area on vacation soon and was wondering, as Nottingham seems to have a pile of figure manufactures, is there a gaming related location in Nottingham that should be visited by a wandering American? Other than Warhammer World…. TIA!

Just down the road from Nottingham is Newark where you might like to visit Wargames Foundry

First weekend in August there is Claymore in Edinburgh, best show in Scotland then followed by the Edinburgh International Festival for all your non-gaming needs. If you haven't booked your hotel yet you are probably too late already.

As well as Newark, Lincoln is worth a visit. There are multiple WWII RAF bomber bases and similar museums to visit in Lincilnshire. Newark has the English Civil War centre. An ECW fort called the Sconce. There is also a walk you can do around the battlefield of the battle of Stoke Field from the War of the Roses.
