What rules (that you have actually played) would you recommend for WotR battles. 15mm is the most likely scale. I'm wanting battles rather than skirmish. I'm thinking of Triumph, Peter Pig rules, and I plan on trying out Test of Resolve at Historicon. Thanks for your input! |

Laugh all you like, but I found DBM work for me. |

A Coat of steel by the Perfect Captain is a good take on the period and always creates an interesting game IMHO. There's a campaign system as well. link |

You can always try Impetus by Dadi and Piombo. The basic rules are at Wargames Vault for $5 USD link |

I really enjoy Triumph! but Test of Resolve does it for me. I like the fact that it's written specifically for the period, so that it gets core things right (e.g. bowmen, formations) but doesn't bog you down with extraneous minutiae. |

To the Strongest using 15mm Peter Peter figures, which have the the largest line. Played a complete game and liked it. Scales up well. Can play from 2 to 6 players easily. We replaced cards with chit pull. |

Ugh. Test of Resolve is already full at Historicon. |

Try these free rules by an historian reenactor who practically lives the period. Aptly named "Blood+and+Horse+Droppings" link Don't be put out by the bases, nothing forbids you to use groupings of DBM types or anything else. |

The second edition of Hail Caesar has a Wars of the Roses module in it and there will be a separate army list book coming-out sometime soon. Never Mind The Billhooks seems to be pretty popular right now as well. |

There are three ToR events at Historicon. If they are all full drop by the game anyway. No shows are common, and even if you don't play, you can get a very good sense of how the rules work. Most games will take about 2 hours~! |

I think Mark is running an another game with ToR, too. |

I use Might of Arms. Ran several Con games with it to good results. link |
