I wasn't happy with my first stab at painting the individual stones so I tried a more subtle approach. Unfortunately this is very labor intensive. I'm still trying to make up my mind between this and just drybrushing it all. More here link |

The way you painted the gate house looks like a good direction to go. Perhaps a 'tone down' of the more noticeable stones to mute the differentiations could be tried. It must be easier than an entire re-paint would be. They are coming along superbly. I wouldn't cry, seeing them on the table. Maybe be a bit jealous… |

Personally I think I'd have gone down the block in colour, ink, then dry brush route, with just a few stones picked out in a different colour per section. Yours looks very effective but very time consuming. |

Pretty amazing work. You are clearly a patient person. I especially like the stepped gable stone house. Cheers!
