For those of you not from the states, several different TV stations typically play war movies all day long on Memorial Day.

I turned on the TV to get some background noise while I worked on some ACW troops and "Sink the Bismark" had recently started. I did accomplish what I wanted to, but I kept leaving the table to watch the TV.

Did any war movies distract you?

The Forever Purge. It's what Hollywood liberals believe conservatives are like.

I watch Away all boat and Red ball express.

There are no movies that would distract me.

Idiocracy. A movie far ahead of its time.

Pork Chop Hill. Still one of my favorite war movies.

Didn't watch any. My group was part of a Memorial Day Service.

No war movies this Memorial Day for me, which is highly unusual.

The wife and I did watch The Jesus Revolution, which is awesome!

Grit TV had a Clint Eastwood marathon. Watched bits and pieces all day long. Watched most of The Good the Bad and the Ugly.

None.

Buck21530 May 2023 3:26 p.m. PST

Band of Brothers on AMC. The Pacific needs to be shown in addition.

Not really "distracted" since this was a working holiday weekend; but I did catch "Porkchop Hill", "The Steel Helmet" and "The Red Badge of Courage" during the off hours. Plus bits of "Destination Tokyo" and "Hell to Eternity".

Went the day well? On BFI for a song. German paras take over a Brit town dressed as Brit soldiers to set up jamming station for the invasion.. The locals figure it out.

I was at a game convention all weekend, so, no movies.

Monday after the con was a visit to the cemetery to clean some family graves, add flowers, etc.
