As a kid watching it with my Dad who served with the 30th Infantry Division in the ETO I would have to say World at War.

I picked WaW, it was the beginning I think of loving military history as a young teenager.
I do love BoB but somehow the first through Foy are the best

I watched World At War back in the 70's with my father, he served (WW2) along with most of his brothers. Great series and Laurence Olivia was great at the narration.

2. Band of Brother's
3. the "Pacific"

Both of the above series were made in the 1970's
