Hi guys

Finished a couple of Austrians on commission, I think there's around 700, now to wrap them all. Figs are 18mm ABs, really love the Hungarian grenadiers, sad to hand them over.

Great job! Ah, my beloved helmeted Austrian infantry.

Beautifully done. I love Austrians, they are my largest Napoleonic army.

Beauties – love those Grenzers

Also a big Austriophile – they are my second biggest army after the French ('cause the French have a lot of enemies!) but you know you can never have too many white coats

Very nicely done indeed! I am jealous of those with the perseverance to paint Austrians. All that white! I love Austria (there are family connections as well) and am very keen on Austrian history but when I had to chose which enemy of the French to tackle next I wimped out and went for the Russians!

I did wonder where they had gone. They always made a nice background to your WWII vehicles 3D printed.

They look terrific. First class. Is there a tutorial on your site for how you do the Austrians? (Apologies if I've asked this before!)

I see Hungarians in helmets, for 1805. Very cool. Who are the brown coated ones with the white Hungarian trousers?

Amazing! What an impressive piece of work!

Brown coats are Grenzer border guards, sorry no tutorial, I'd do one, but I'm so busy it's crazy.

I would have thought the Grenz would be in blue Hungarian trousers (mostly, but probably some not properly uniformed) when in Hausmontur.

Cool. I've never heard of white as standard but I would not be surprised to see some. I think there's an Osprey that includes one, possibly taken from the same source as this. For the Feldmontur, they would be expected to be in Hungarian style uniform – white coat and blue trousers – but again, I'm sure there would be some irregularity, as the Grenz regiments were typically the worst supported.

Cheers,
John

the white coat was very predominant in the Revolutionary and early Napoleonic wars for the Grenzer
