I have done a few batches of 28mm hoplites and the shield transfers are driving me mad. Where the shield curves they fght laying down, wrinkle, and fold. I have tried microsol with mixed results. Just wondering if anyone has a solid technique for getting them on where they look good? The transfers are LBMS.

TIA
Kevin

I did 360 hoplites with LBM shield transfers for my lockdown project.
I used Microsol on shield then a very water wet finger to press down before peeling the transfer, then 10 min wait and a healthy dab of microset.
The following day used paint to blend the transfer in.
No trouble at all

@sidley – I think I just need a bit more patience…

Considering how expensive LBM transfers are I can appreciate your anxiety Stoss in trying to figure out a system.

None of you get any sympathy. I've been painting them freehand in 6mm.
