Thank God, don't need another printer.

Does one really need 12K? It seems ot me that once you hit about 6K,for miniatures at least, its really not a visible difference.

Actually, haven't looked up the specs, but as a rule of thumb, the actual pixel size and the dimension of the screen are important, not the resolution.
Depending on the screen dimensions of this printer, the pixel size maybe not be much smaller.
A higher resolution means they just use a bigger screen.
The bigger the better.
Presumably, this printer has a few other advantages as well, but the printer's resolution metric is easier to handle for the marketing guys.
And people buy that.

It does have a screen on the larger size. I forget the exact dimensions. It is still a mono LCD though. It is supposed to be a very fast printer as well. The other feature promoted is self-leveling. Now I have not had a leveling problem or find it hard to do but some people may find this valuable.

Printing Areas of two different ones:

6K Model:
200x195.84x122.4mm/
7.8x7.7x4.8 in. (HWD)

12K model
200x218x123mm(HWD)
7.87x8.58x4.84in./

The resolution of 12k is 19 micron (uM).

Have ordered one for myself, to save on cost of commercial prints which were done at 16uM.

Is still on pre-order discount but at a slightly higher price.

TBH it feels like we're in the familiar tech-acceleration war. As it is my PC can only just cope with the mesh on some of the high-end detailed models. If sculptors start designing for 12 or 24k resolution prints I'll need to upgrade to some really serious kit
