Or, more precisely, do you play superhero-themed miniature wargames?

* yes, it's my main interest
* yes, it's one of my main interests
* yes, I enjoy it from time to time
* no
* not any more

I have. How can you pass up playing the Hulk or Superman.

I haven't for many years. I played Ronald McDonald with the Big Mac Attack, tweaking the "serious" players. I had fun.

myxemail20 May 2023 5:19 p.m. PST

No, I do not.
I think in my mind the genre has been shown in the movies and television to such a high level of saturation. Overkill. There is so much I feel burnt out. As such, I do not have any enthusiasm to play it on the table top

I am building superheroes but not used them in a game yet.

One group is bases on Batman TV show, The Avengers TV show, The Fantastic Four original cartoons and 1960s comics, and a few others.

The second group is both uniformed WWII / Korean War soldier and patriotic attired heroes from mostly WWII.

I have written the rules, but they need editing, and I have gathered all the data, mostly, but still collecting and converting all the figures in 1/72nd scale.

I'd like to find a boardgame or tabletop minis rules I could use my Heroclix collection on.

I currently run a Marvel Super Heroes RPG (aka FASERIP system) for some young friends. It's been a lot of fun. I don't have figures for it, just the markers from the original boxed set.

I used to have the Marvel version of Heroscape, which I donated to the local library. It was the only version of the game I wound up liking, but it didn't see play enough to keep.

Yes. The line that separates [Audie Murphy, Captian Danjou, etc.], pulp era adventure, and superheroes is thin. I am particularly fond of "supernormals".

What about HeroClix? :) OK …

SuperSystem works great for that. Ages ago, I picked up tons of EBay Clix: Kree, Skrull, and Shield mooks, plus Avengers, FF, and related supers to battle out the Kree-Skrull Wat

Nope

No, although I suppose that someone armed and equipped at a very superior tech level could function like a superhero.

Cattle Dog21 May 2023 3:34 p.m. PST

"Are you a super hero"? Well I don't consider to be a "super hero" but I do have a super power! Which is the ability to make cups of tea at any altitude.

* yes, I enjoy it from time to time – in the context of Weird War 2 games with Golden Age heroes.

It has become a main interest again with SuperSystem.

I have played Superhero games for over 40 years. Definitely enjoy them and have a very large collections.

Scott Pyle's (SuperSystem author) "Super Mission Force" is a fantastic update on the genre and is quick and simple to play.

mimiMO,

You can get a hardcopy at DriveThru RPG,

You're better off with the PDF though and price is excellent.

The rules are all in black and white except the cover and back.

Print and have them spiral bound works great!

Ooh, spiral bound would be good.
