For years my go to brush has been the black handle sable brushes from Reaper. I like them because they last a really long time and I rarely got a turkey from them. Earlier this year I went to order some and noticed the 2/3/5 oughts were all missing from their website. So I ordered some DaVinci brushes from Blick. Those brushes did not last long, and Blicks stocking of the brushes was dodgy. So this time around I went to Reaper again and still nothing in the sizes I need. So now I'm trying out Rosemary, hopefully they are decent. No 5/0s but I'm going to try 2/0 and 3/0….

I highly recommend Rosemary. They were recommended to me by other gamers years ago and I've used them since. I mainly use Kolinsky series 33 2/0 to 0 for the bulk of my painting. I also use Series 92 4/0 for finer detailing as they have excellent points. Rosemary brushes are quite resilient and can cope with the abuse I give them.

A week ago I stopped into the old Toy Soldier located in Amesbury Mass. and they had them in stock. I bought a couple.
