How looks like this mysterious British regimental flag found by French soldiers near the camps of Boulogne-Etaples among the wreckage of a shipwreck in 1804 bearing its denomination inscribed on an side as follows
«58th Regiment of the Royal Army of Reserve»?…
at that time the closest "58th" was the 2nd Battalion of 58th Foot in Jersey in Channel Islands, and the newly raised "Royal Army of Reserve" was simply organised in battalions numbered 1st to 16th if my datas are correct…
