Just completed my 1/300 scale PT boats so the Japanese are going g to need some muscle to defend their barges. There is a picture on Wikipedia and a small on in ospreys pt boats. While we are at it does anyone know what a Japanese type H gunboat looked like? Am assuming it looked like a typical patrol boat of 30 tons. Thanks for any help. Joe |

'Type X' was American nomenclature. Type C were Soukotei class gunboats. Later versions were designated AB-Tei. Type H were Hashidate class. A Google image search will throw up pictures of each. link |

Thank you for the quick response and your help. I did find the one picture of the type C; thanks. Did you find any besides the Wikipedia one? Regarding the H type patrol boat I am looking for a patrol boat of about 30 tons. I apologize i didnt make that clear. There were actually several classes H2, H8 ect. Your picture is of a 900 ton gunboat but I appreciate the assistance! Joe |

BB, that is great; thanks. I also didn't realize the hull wasn't armored. I think I know a stand in for 1/300 scale. Thanks again that is impressive. Joe |
