I want to build a couple of German helicopters, a Fieseler Storch and a Lysander for use in some ground based scenarios. However, having obtained some nice models I find that most do not have pilot figures. Can anyone recommend a good source for 1/72 or 20mm pilot figures for these aircraft? Obviously I need RAF and Luftwaffe figures with the priority going for figures suitable for a cockpit while some standing figures would be useful.

Maybe you could find something suitable here: link

The good news is that actual pilots look very similar regardless of nationality.

There are several ways to go.
Revell sold some sets that will provide both ground crew and pilots:
German with 2 types of pilots to choose from:

UK with 4 types:

While I think these are not being produced right now, there are sets out there.

Now Airfix sold "ground crew" sets, these have no seated figures. but might add more types to your ground crews. (also sold under the Heller brand)

There are many fine scale model type resin cast figures.
Expensive, but since you need few, might work well:

These can be made to work:

I suspect you could find an STL and have some printed.
But consider looking for an airplane kit that lists it has a pilot and steal it from that kit.

Frequently any seated figures will do, as once they are in the cockpit the paint job is all you are likely to see, the details are obscured by the plastic glass.

Airfix Ground Crew sets are great and using swapped heads can change nationalities, and even work as tank crews.

Plenty of options there. Thanks everyone.
