Frankly again, the US support was too little too late. And IMO the EU was following the USA's lead.

It's not over yet. But nothing is getting done. The opening admin proposal of 12 billion for strengthening the border was rejected by Congress, so nothing for Ukraine, no negotiation. There is no plan to fund the government, or anything else. Nothing for Ukraine or Israel. If I was more cynical, I might think this is being deliberately done as an election strategy. Time for another vacation!

At this point it's too late to assist Ukraine to resume any offensive efforts in the spring. They will survive on their own, but not indefinitely. It is going to be very tough, after all of this has cost in blood and treasure, to see Putin acting like he won, getting a pass from the US, and making more plans.

Tort to be fair, they want the boarder shut down. Not more money for people to help more pass through the sieve. If there have not been at least 20 million pass through since 2020, over both boarders, I would be surprised.

These numbers of unassimilated individuals is not sustainable. The only way to get the Democrats to even talk about it, is to hold off on something they want.

In the last 3 weeks in the Tucson area alone, there were 54,000 who came through. That DOES NOT include "got aways". You know those cannot be vetted. This is dangerous for all of us. You know BAD People are getting through.

That said, tying this to strategic and military aid on the other side of the world is leverage. But if the other side starts to give, makes a proposal, and you just pack up and go home, stranding millions of Ukrainians fighting for their lives against one of our long time biggest enemies, then we are not the nation we say we are, IMO.

We believe we can secure the boarders. But it does seem that one side does not want to. Although their governors on the borders are seeing the light finally.

It is my belief that most of these people are NOT fleeing persecution, they are here looking for jobs and or handouts. And these are the ones who are not here for evil.

If we took the billions wasted taking care of these allowed in, you would have money for things like the Ukraine. Look at the amount of money going into this issue. We have to take care of our borders and clean up what we have allowed in.

Legal immigrants, going through the processes, is the only answer. Increase the amount allowed and turn back and return the illegals.

Yes, we can secure the border in short order. But the will is not there. The support from a very vocal progressive minority will not like it. So, with an election coming up the POTUS, etc., need all the votes they can get.

The border does not need to only be secured but shut down tight. You can't repair the leaks on the ship effectively with more water coming in. C-17s, etc. can fly these illegal aliens out of the US. Plus CPB, ICE, LEOs have to be able to do their job. Rounding up military age males should be a priority.

Many woke, progressives, etc. don't get it … It has nothing to do with race, ethnicities, etc. it comes down to the massive numbers of illegal alien coming in from 140 countries worldwide. As we see we are not talking about 1000s but millions. That are a burden on many towns, cities, etc. Waaay too many illegal aliens, no place to house them, provide food, medical, etc. let alone getting a job here. But with the gov't's sanctioned open border dictates this is costing the US taxpayer a whole lot of money. $ that could be used in much better places. Illegal alien should not be on that list.

Those that support the open border should then take 3-4 illegal alien into their home, feed them, etc. But that will never, ever happen.

Most people on both sides want the border fixed. All the polls show this. There is little support for any other answer. Secure the border, and reform the admission process.

As I said, such a large number of people statistically has a criminal element as would any such group. The collapse of effective governments and the torturous migration to the border speaks volumes about the sharp increase in numbers. I disagree that it's a plot. But whatever, we agree on the solutions: secure, deport, reform.

But you will not get a single vote for this from the current elected officials that control it, for the political reasons I already stated. They too profit from this continuing. And by tying it to military aid overseas, it makes for a grim year ahead. And that is the only plan.

I repeat, this is not who most of us are as a nation. We can readily appropriate the funds to jump start work on the border, protect Israel, help Ukraine survive. This latest hold up is still is about power and control.

The laws are there. Even in the Constitution. The CBP, ICE, etc. told the current leadership when newly elected to not do anything. They had the border under control and better than it has been in decades. The current leadership ignored the laws. It did not fit their agenda. As they didn't want to upset the woke progressives that they were beholden to. Just like with the Go Green activists.

The border could be closed down in a matter of days. And sending back illegal aliens to wherever would follow shortly afterwards. But that won't happen until there is complete change of leadership.
