Probably the best I have ever seen these Perry figures done and surely better than mine (wherever they are now, my first ever venture into 28mm). But, and this is button counting OCD (which I do), the colpack top should be black.

They either had the red flamme hanging to their right, or it was tucked in, on campaign, under a black waterproof cover.

Saying this, your book is my "go to" for painting inspiration on a weekly basis. What about the highlights on the overalls and the stripe and buttons on the overalls?

I use washes more, as I do not have your subtle painting skill.

Stunning painting as always.

I realise that the bases are a constraint but the live side for the port fire is on the right looking up the tube.

This protocol was to avoid accidents as the ammunition was brought up on the left.

Still beautiful though.
