Which of their 25mm scale miniatures ranges would you rate as the best?

Mexican Revolution.

Wayne's Legion is pretty darn good.

Big fan of their Boer War line, too.

I have a fondness for their Spanish American War range. Just about everything you need.

Best, can't say for sure. The only one I have I like. Got a good sampling of these for VSF gaming:

Indian Mutiny.

The basics: Napoleonic, ACW, ECW, Ancients – all great ranges and I own them all. Oh, left off Mexican American war

To my mind, best of all was the original Dave Alsop ACW line, with its vast variety of separate heads (although the cavalry horses left a lot to be desired). The current ACW line is based on them, but not quite up to the Alsop originals.

French and Indian war for me. The first time I saw the Indians I was blown away.

Totally agree about the Dave Alsop sculpts. His early death was a huge loss to the hobby. His 15mm ACW sculpts revolutionized the industry with their character and diversity of poses.

I always liked their Wars of the Roses line.

William Warner,
the current line has everyone of the Allsop originals in it.

I have most of the Victorian era sets. Great figures. Great War too.

torokchar+1 – I am presently finally completing my Dave Allsop
Austrian Napoleonics in Helmets and what wonderful sculpts. Really like all my bags of Old Glory 25mm/28mm – they paint up very nicely.

Old Gloy's Landsknechts from their Italian range are outstanding.

I loved the Dave Allsop 25mm ACW line! Why did I get rid of them. The Indian Mutiny is also very good. Always wanted to get their Malburian 26mm line but apparently waited too long. Old Glory changed the hobby dramatically. Thank you, Russ.

Once again!
As stated above.
All of the Dave Allsop ACW figures are are still available in the current packages.
All of them.
Now I understand how urban legends begin.

Best regards

The War of 1812 range is outstanding!

ACW range ECW range was also good.

William Warner30 Apr 2023 2:42 p.m. PST

Russ, out of curiosity, could you give a list of the figure lines sculpted by Dave Alsop?

epturner01 May 2023 3:08 p.m. PST

Iron Duke;
I absolutely agree. I forgot about them for a moment.

The War of 1812 is a cracking good line.

Vlad the Impaler and Eastern Renaissance ranges are also first rate.
