As the title says, does anyone have any clue as to how they come up with the damage stats for BT Alpha Strike cards? I've a bunch of non-BT sci-fi tanks I'd like to wrap up into my Alpha Strike games, but no real way to calculate their damage or armor stats….

thanks in advance

I thought there were rules in the Alpha Strike book to covert BT stats. I may be thinking of BattleForce, though (a much earlier set of rules).

Definitely rules in BattleForce 2 for converting stats from mainstream BT.

Though if you're not wanting to use tanks in full BT might be quicker to pick though the most comparable Alpha Strike cards for the tanks you want to bring in. Pick the best match and amend as necessary.

I have the commander's edition and there are no conversion rules in there.

Battleforce does and the PDF is very locatable with Google.

Thanks everyone. I think it would just be easiest to "proxy" an already existing unit, since I'm introducing a non BT unit into AS.

The Alpha Strike Companion book that went with the 1st edition rule book has the rules for converting stats from Classic to AS.

The Points Values in the old calculations are a bit off from the newer Commander's Edition.

I've found the conversion rules handy for taking an existing mech and tweaking the stats a bit and calculating the PV change from there.
