I'm looking to maximize the number of longbowmen I can make from the Perry "WR1 Plastic Wars of the Roses Infantry (bows and bills)". There are thirty-three (33) bodies in each box that could be used as archers (along with four full-plate, and three that have plate on the torso); however, there are only thirty (30) arms for archers. As I have three boxes, I'm looking for nine (9) sets of arms for archers. U.S. only please, for postage rate reasons. Obviously, I have spare billmen arms if someone wants to swap. Email me at john at jhollier.com John H. |

There are pictures of archers wearing armour, particularly a 'back and breast' – if you need more archers. |

Thanks @virtualscratchbuilder. I just looked (in spam as well) and I didn't see an email from you. |

Hmmm. I used the "contact us" on the website you linked in your post. |

Besides the bow arms, you might want to also grab some extra arrows if you are intent on maximizing the archers. If I remember correctly, one box comes with 10 sets of arrows stuck on ground and 10 sets of arrows that can be stuck on belt (5+5 per command sprue), plus 6 sets of right hands holding arrows, for a total of 26 arrow equipped models per box. In case you have bought (or are planning to buy) the the Light Cavalry 1450-1500 set, this has a selection of bow arms and arrow bags that could be useful for providing a bit of variety to infantry archers (assuming you assemble the cavalrymen armed with pointy sticks). Perry HYW English archer kit might come with a few spare arrows (I don't have mine at hand), so in case you know somebody who has bought a lot of boxes they might have a few arrow sheaves to spare. |
