Tomorrow I'm trying Xeno Rampant for the first time. We'll be using 15mm figures. Here is my army roster. I'm sticking to basic troop types to make sure we have the basic rules down, before dabbling in loads of the Xenos rules / upgrades.

They look like alot of fun. In fact I've ordered some armies to try them out. Are you going to use the full move and shoot ranges with the 15s?

Not a bad set of rules. Bought them for my SW Legion figs. My only "beef" is that the units, as are, don't really cover everything you need, and trap you into 5 and 10 point units, with little room for "in between." "Hero" and commander figures are somewhat tough to represent as well.

Overall, a high quality game, and if you ignore some of the limitations in each troop class (like giving recon troops longer range rifles or some such), is a solid rule set.

Enjoy!

Yes we're keeping ranges the same.

The "rampant" system is certainly tried and true. But the vehicle rules are obviously a bolt-on. So this is a game where a lot of weapon types just can;t fit. Thinking mortars, artillery, AFVs and air.

I haven't gotten a copy yet, although hope to some time relatively soon.

Is it just me, or am I reading those stats for Inf A & B, as well as Lt Inf A & B as being the same? If so, then wondering what the differences are between the As and the Bs.

That's just unit A and unit B. In theory I could do different upgrades on each. The unit ID corresponds to the unit label on the table.

Have fun. Zeno has become something of a fad in my area.

Suggestions – Double size heavy INF your units. They last much longer and hit harder.

Artillery/support are pretty powerful.

Also very adaptable Russian Civil War to Sci Fi.

When playing 15mm the ranges look much better.
