Starting in 20mm ww2, what are good ranges of buildings?
I prefer the western Europe campaigns be it 1940 or 1944-45

Look at European manufacturers of HO scale railroad buildimgs…like Kibri, etc. Most railroad bulding lines are stuck in the 40s and 50s anyhow.

Agreed on the model railway buildings. They are excellent for northern Europe and Germany. However, if you want wrecked and damaged vehicles it may be worth looking at printed and resin models such as Battle Honours 3D

and Scenery in 15mm or 20mm for Wargames

Hovels 20mm buildings/ruins are still very nice and durable. And I say that from the pov of someone who avoids resin.

If, like me, you prefer using a ground scale that is actually much smaller than the model scale (in order to avoid everything happening at point blank range), then using 15mm buildings for games with 20mm (or 1/72) models works better. Otherwise, anything bigger than a cottage has an enormous footprint relative to ground scale.

I dont suppose you have photos of 20mm tanks next to 15mm buildings?

@Hornswoggler

Yes, that 15mm buildings with 20mm minis works nicely.
