I buy 60 mil magnetic sheets from Magnet Valley and cut my own. Then, agin, I base on thin steel.

I make my own, with self adhesive magnetic sheet.

Look at Warbases as a option or use magnetic sheets ( get the thicker as it's stronger. as Wofshanza said, the 30mil is not as strong. I attach my magnetic sheet to some Masonite board ( hardboard ) usually 1/8 thick from homedepot, but sometimes I run it though my planer to make it thinner.

The bases from Warbases can have the holes you can glue in the Neodymium magnets, which are quite nice. plus Warbases have better prices then say Litco. at least last I looked.
